Here are the students of Math and the Internet in summer, 2023.

Anjali Brahmasandra Anjali is a 16-year-old junior from Ann Arbor, Michigan, who finds joy in playing soccer and baking. Her love for the color purple reflects her unique personality. Inside the classroom, she impresses with her creativity, having built a two-bit adding machine on a breadboard and even writing code that humorously 'rick rolled' her classmates. Outside of academic pursuits, Anjali engages in entertaining card games like Set. Looking ahead, she envisions studying computer science or chemical engineering at Northwestern University, eager to explore the boundless opportunities for knowledge and innovation in these fields.

Maya Cabine Maya is 16 years old and is a rising junior from Portland, Oregon. When she is back at home, she enjoys sports, specifically basketball and volleyball. The thing she has enjoyed most in class was whenever the material clicked. Her favorite moment at the dorms was when she played basketball at West Quad. She is unsure of what to pursue when she graduates high school, but with her favorite color being blue, she would love to attend Michigan.

Alexandros Christou Alex is an aspiring programmer, swimmer, and pianist from Thessaloniki, Greece. He is 17 years old and will be a senior this upcoming school year. His favroite color is red, so his allegiance to Liverpool FC is no secret. His favorite moment inside of class was completed the python code for “Twenty Questions”. Outside of class, his best moment was beating Kahler in ping pong. After graduation, Alex would like to pursue a degree in computer science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Jiyang Chu Jesse is a 16-year-old junior hailing from Palo Alto, California. He enjoys spending his time playing anime-inspired melodies on the piano, watching different anime series, and engaging in the world of homelab experimentation. The color pink holds a special place in his heart, resonating with his unique personality. Inside the classroom, Jesse thrives when working with breadboards and exploring various circuits, showcasing his affinity for hands-on learning. Beyond academia, he cherishes moments of relaxation in the comfort of the dorms. Looking towards the future, Jesse aspires to study computer science, and he holds a particular admiration for the idea of attending Michigan, recognizing it as a "pretty cool" opportunity to pursue his passion.

Austin Cornell Austin is a 16-year-old junior hailing from Mason City, Iowa. In his free time, he finds solace in activities such as golfing, engaging in strategic battles of chess, reading, and swimming. His profound admiration for Shirley Jackson's short story, "The Lottery," speaks to his appreciation for thought-provoking narratives. When it comes to colors, black holds a special allure for Austin, reflecting his unique tastes. Morgan Frederick Morgan is a 17 year old senior hailing from Louisville, Kentucky. He embraces a variety of interests that keep him engaged during his free time. He enjoys running cross country and track, wrestling, and honing his focus in archery. Within the classroom, Morgan found joy in constructing the index register. Outside of the classroom, he enjoyed engaging in a live game of Among Us, which created a sense of excitement around the dorms. As he sets his sights on higher education, Morgan aspires to pursue a degree in Math at a prestigious institution like the University of Michigan, the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, or Purdue University.

Kate Hess Kate is a 15-year-old junior from Rockland, California. With her favorite color being red, she embraces its vibrancy and boldness as a reflection of her own personality. In her free time, Kate finds joy and fulfillment in cheerleading, immersing herself in the dynamic world of athletic performance and team spirit. Elan Hong Elan is a 17 year old senior from Canton Michigan. He immerses himself in a multitude of activities during his free time, reading, engaging in strategic battles of chess, honing his skills on the tennis court, playing video games, and competing in the Science Olympiad. His favorite color is sky-blue. Within the classroom, Elan relishes the challenge of constructing logic gates from scratch before acquiring the logic chips. Beyond the academic realm, he cherishes the simple pleasure of enjoying lunch in the inviting atmosphere of South Quad. Seungyun Lee Joshua is a 16-year-old from Seongnam-si who is preparing for his second year at KSA (Korea Science Academy). His favorite color is cyan-blue. During his free time, Joshua engages in spirited games of badminton and immerses himself in the enchanting worlds found within video games. Inside the classroom, he enjoys designing and constructing intricate circuits on breadboards. Outside of the classroom, Joshua delights in the company of friends, exploring the scenic Michigan campus. Houyuan Niu Eric is a 15-year-old sophomore from Beijing, China. With white as his favorite color, he finds purity and simplicity captivating. Bivan Prajapati Bivan is a 17-year-old senior from Revere, Massachusetts. Blue is his favorite color. During his free time, Bivan immerses himself in the fast-paced world of volleyball, delves into video games, explores new realms through the pages of books, and plays a part in the policy debate club. Within the classroom, Bivan found fulfillment in working with hardware where he was able to help send messages to Discord, showcasing his proficiency in both coding and communication. Outside of academic pursuits, he applies his problem-solving skills to unravel intriguing murder mystery activities. As he looks towards higher education, Bivan aspires to pursue a degree in computer science, eager to delve deeper into the world of technology.

During her free time, Morgan finds fulfillment in collaborating with Maya to work towards the creation of an LED system that can effectively send messages to Discord, showcasing her determination and dedication to innovation. She also enjoys going on walks with her beloved dog, Lil'Jimmy, named after Jim Harbaugh. Within the classroom, Sienna's curiosity is piqued by the diverse applications of binary numbers, fueling her interest in the field of computer science. Outside of the classroom, she has enjoyed dinner outings with newfound friends at Joe's Pizza. Looking towards the future, Sienna plans to study computer science and mathematics.

Insung Woo Insung, is a 17-year-old sophomore from Busan, South Korea. His favorite color is navy blue. During his free time, Insung enjoys playing his violin, riding his bike, and computer games. Inside the classroom, he eagerly embraces every project involving breadboards, relishing the hands-on experience and the opportunity to bring his creative ideas to life. Beyond the classroom, Insung cherishes the moments spent exploring the Michigan campus alongside his fellow KSA friends. Looking towards the future, he envisions studying computer science at a prestigious South Korean institution.

Shreya Yarlagadda Shreya is a 15-year-old junior from San Jose, California with dual favorites colors, blue and orange. During her free time, Shreya thrives in the realm of water polo and swimming, while also enjoying reading. Her favorite book being George Orwell's iconic novel, "1984". Within the classroom, Shreya derives immense satisfaction from troubleshooting and overcoming challenges, such as fixing an LED to send messages to Discord. Outside of the classroom, she finds joy in exploring the vibrant city of Ann Arbor alongside her friends. As she looks towards the future, Shreya aspires to study electrical engineering at the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
